🥐 Sausage-Stuffed Puff Pastry

Ingredients:

1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)

8 oz (225g) sausage (crumbled or ground)

1 small onion (finely chopped)

2 cloves garlic (minced)

½ cup cream cheese (softened)

½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (or mozzarella)

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Salt & pepper to taste

Optional: parsley or chives for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet, cook sausage until browned. Add onion & garlic, sauté until soft. Remove from heat.
  3. Stir in cream cheese and cheddar until creamy. Season with salt & pepper.
  4. Roll out puff pastry sheet. Cut into squares or rectangles.
  5. Place a spoonful of sausage mixture in the center of each piece, then fold over and seal edges with a fork.
  6. Brush tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  7. Bake 15–20 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
  8. Garnish with parsley & serve warm.
