Creamy Slow Cooker Chicken (Cream Cheese Chicken)

Ingredients

  • 500–700 g boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 200 g cream cheese (block, full-fat or light)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp dried herbs (parsley, oregano, or Italian seasoning)
  • Optional: ½ cup chicken broth (for extra sauce)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of a slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and herbs evenly over the chicken.
  3. Place the block(s) of cream cheese on top of the chicken.
  4. (Optional) Add chicken broth if you want more sauce.
  5. Cover and cook:
    • Low: 5–6 hours, or
    • High: 2.5–3 hours
  6. Once cooked, stir to melt the cream cheese into a smooth sauce. Shred the chicken if desired.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning.

  • In wraps or sandwiches
  • With steamed vegetables
