Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon salt (5 grams)
- 300 milliliters water (about 1 1/5 cups)
- 420 grams flour (approximately 2 2/3 cups), plus 1 additional tablespoon
- 100 grams cheddar cheese, grated
- 100 grams butter, melted
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the flour and salt.
- Gradually add the water, stirring to combine, until a dough begins to form.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Add in the melted butter and grated cheddar cheese, kneading until fully incorporated.
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rise for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf or small rolls, placing it onto a baking tray.
- Let the dough rise again for about 20-30 minutes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
- Let it cool slightly before slicing and enjoying!
